This risk assessment helps organisations identify, understand and prioritise menopause-related workplace risks. It aligns with standard risk assessment approaches and focuses on current levels of support and the potential impact if that support is not effective.
Completing the Assessment: – Answer each question based on your current workplace provision, not future plans. – Use N/A only where a question genuinely does not apply to your organisation or workforce. – Apply one overall RAG Rating and one Impact Score per section. – Scoring reflects overall practice across an area. – The purpose is to identify risk and prioritise action, not to assess performance.
RAG Rating – Current Level of Support Red – Significant gaps or absence. Practice is limited, informal or inconsistent. Amber – Some support is in place but application is inconsistent, unclear or varies across teams. Green – Clear, structured and well-communicated menopause support that is consistently applied.
Impact Score – Potential Effect if Gaps Remain High – Poor support could result in significant impact on employee wellbeing, performance, retention or legal risk. Medium – Impact may affect some employees or situations, with moderate effect on wellbeing or performance. Low – Risks are limited, short-term or well controlled through existing measures.
